Join Kachemak Bay Conservation Society (KBCS) at Islands and Ocean Visitor Center for a free Earth Day event. This April 22 (Monday) from 5 - 7, KBCS presents Dr. Richard Steiner - one of Alaska's most prominent conservation scientists - from Oasis Earth. Dr. Steiner will entertain and inform the audience with beautiful slides and years of boots-on-the-ground experience above the Arctic Circle during his presentation, titled, 'ImperiledArctic.'
KBCS is hosting a Green New Deal Teach-In on the Sunday before Earth Day. Join us for short films and a discussion about the Green New Deal resolution at the Kachemak Bay Conservation Center - 3734 Ben Walters Lane - April 21 (Sunday).
Later in the week, on Saturday the 27th, we will continue honoring Earth Day with live music by Rose's Pawnshop at Alice's Champagne Palace. Show starts at 9:00 PM and costs $12 at the door. Come out to support KBCS and get your Earth Day boogie on.
